Professor Wesley

My feelings about this class is bitter-sweet. This class has taught me that I am on my own now and there are no excuses in the real world. I cannot be a procrastinator in college because procrastination kills. The professor is real and reminds me of my mother. She does not sugar-coat anything just like my mother and when it is time for things to get things done there is no time for back talk and it must be done at that moment. My mother is a hard working lady and I am pretty sure that professor is a hard working lady as well. Nobody likes a person that procrastinates all of the time and makes excuses when there is work that is needed to be. Even my own mother told me that but me being rebellious would only hurt me in the long run. People should always listen to and respect their elders because even though it may not seem like the right way in the beginning when you are not looking from both sides of the fence their way is the right way. I feel like this class has helped me ready myself for the fall semester and I thank Professor Wesley for pushing me to be better because she did not have to do what she has done for me.

Mamas

Researching a topic that you have knowledge of gives you the upper-hand on others. Gaining extra ideas about your topic gives you a lot of things to talk about. Endless ideas of arguments will definitely help you in the long run. Mothers are, and always will be the perfect, superior parent. Their love and affection for their young is effortless and there is nothing that can break the bond of the parent/child relationship. Fathers do not have that certain bond with their young. They tend to not care about their child's feelings, whereabouts or what they are up to. Fathers are very nonchalant when it comes to even the smallest situations. When the child gets old enough, the "talk" is a critical conversation and there are crucial topics that fathers should express but they are not around to do so. This leaves another task on the mother when there are too many already. Mothers that takes the role of being a mother and a father are very strong willed and very sacrificing. Only love would keep a person this motivated. Mothers should be appreciated immensely and a holiday for mothers are well needed.

Argumentive Essay

Mothers are in fact, the best caregivers on this planet earth. There are researchers that show that more mothers care for their children more than fathers do. This not only takes place with humans, there is proof in motherhood dominance and father negligence with animals. For example, a lioness is a very protective mother. She would kill for her cubs no matter what. Sacrificing herself without the thought of her own health. Fathers feel as if they have done their job and feels obligated to leave the female with such a burden as a child, a whole, needy baby or cub. That leaves a rigorous long task to try to raise that baby to be strong enough and be strong enough to stand on its own. For humans, mothers must stress the fact that their son must not be like his father and for daughters to follow her footsteps. There would not be certain people in this world that are successful now if it wasn't for strong mothers. Think about it, if your own mother struggled for almost all your life you would want to pay her back by hard work and being successful so she does not have to work anymore.

Violence in Technology

Children today, basically live off of the entertaining nonsense on the social media, and social technology. Violence dwell on the television and in new hip music today. Children would only do what any other typical child would do and follow what they hear or see on either TV or their favorite song. Young black males to me are main victims of this situation considering the fact that rap is one of the most violent genres in the music industry today. Though people try to blame rap artists of this problem that is spiraling out of control but it is not entirely on the artists fault. It is the parents that let their young vulnerable child be a listener to such material. Violence on television is and always will be existent. It is a part of history, ever since the gladiators fighting for entertainment. If parents have an issue with certain entertainment, they should try to filter their child's viewing and listening sites. In the long run that will only hinder them from the real world. Everything is not Teletubbies and Blues Clues in the actual life as an adult. There should be some type of series on the television showing deaths and crimes because in real life there will always be that. Even if there were no violence in your screen and earphones.

1965 Now it's Over

The integration in this chapter was very soothing to me. Things really change after Sula dies not because she's dead but  the fact that people see things way more clearly than over twenty five years ago. Individuals were blind to the fact that everybody was equal in God's eye and one human bleeds just like the other. When I read that the whites were moving to the "bottom" for the view I felt a sense of relief because of the torment and chaos that took place on this place thought of to be a high hell. Things really changed for the better in this chapter and there were some need for closure about certain situations, I felt like those requirements were met finally. Nel finally came to her senses with that conversation with Eva. I felt like Eva showed Nel the real world and how things really were back then when Sula and Eva were children. The question of why didn't Nel help Chicken Little out when he accidentally fell in the water and drowned. The fact that Nel thought she was over Sula in a sense was completely incorrect. Like Eva said, she was not any different than Sula in her eyes, or in fact anyone else eyes. When Nel realized that in the end she felt great sorrow, wishing for another chance in life when youth can not be replenished and what has been done is done.
